Below is a step by step guide for MacOS 8.5 or above. If you are not using MacOS 8.5 or above click on Windows NT4, Windows 95, Windows 2000 or Windows 98 for the correct instructions. This guide includes screen shots to help you through each step of the process.

On your desktop double-click your Hard Drive and then double-click the Assistants folder. Inside you will find an icon for Internet Setup Assistant, double-click this.


Click Yes


Click Yes


Click the Right Arrow in the bottom corner to continue after reading/completing each screen.


Enter the Name of the Configuration as VWE, as above, and click the right arrow to continue.


Complete with your modem's details (these will normally default to the correct settings, but if not just select the modem you have), then click the right arrow.


Now enter the dial-up number, your username and password. Click the right arrow.


Leave the setting for PPP Script at No. Click the right arrow.


Leave IP address at No as this will be assigned at each dial up. Click the right arrow.


Your DNS addresses and Domain Name fields should be left blank. Click the right arrow to continue.


If you are using a POP3 email address enter the details for the server in the boxes above. You will already have been given this information by vwe internet if it applies to you, otherwise leave both these fields blank.


Again if you have a POP3 server enter your details in the field as user@server. You will already have been given this information by vwe internet if it applies to you, otherwise leave both these fields blank.


Click on Go Ahead, and you're done.
