Below is a step by step guide for Windows 98. If you are not using Windows 98 click on Windows NT4, Windows 95, Windows 2000 or MacOS 8.5+ for the correct instructions. This guide includes screen shots to help you through each step of the process. On each screen shot the relevant section or sections are shown within a red box.

On your desktop double-click My Computer

Double-click Dial-Up Networking


Double-click Make New Connection


Complete as shown. The Select a device field should show your usual or chosen modem. Now click Next



Complete as shown, then click Next



Click Finish


Right click the new vwe internet entry


Select Server Types


Set the items shown, clear the other tick boxes, then click TCP/IP Settings...



Complete as shown then click OK


Click Scripting


Make sure your settings match the image, then click Multilink



Make sure your settings match the image, then click OK


Double click the vwe internet icon


Enter your vwe internet dial-up username and password, tick the Save password tick box, then click Connect - that's it all done.
